Richard Triffo was born in
Southey, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1927. I first met him when I met my husband - Jon Richard Triffo 16 years ago. Jon
is Richard's 3rd child and I was surprised to see Richard for the first time - I could not believe my eyes that a man could
be in the kitchen cooking and doing the dishes! I am from south America you see and the men there do not do those kind
of things… so I thought to my self - if the son is a little bit like the father I am in good luck - and I was.
Richard made me feel welcome in to the Triffo family, although he did not speak much he always smiled at me, and I felt
loved by him. When Jon and I got married, Richard was very happy for us - and although we did not talk very much,
I knew I was being welcomed with open arms to the Triffo family. When Jon and I gave him 2 grandchildren he was tickled
pink. They already had one grandson and I know they never imagined to have any other grandchildren, but surprise - there came
Joliz in 2003 and then Kylah in 2005 to rob Grandpa of his heart. During our visits, Grandpa danced the polka and
played with his little granddaughters like it was his last time. Richard, I will miss you very much, but I will keep
my beautiful memories and pictures of you with my children and I will always speak of you with the most and greatest respect.
